Jacqueline grew up near Napanee and graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science Honours in Animal Biology in 2001. In 2005, she graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College, with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, and married Marco Côté. Dr. Côté is a member of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association and American Association of Feline Practitioners and has earned her "Cat Friendly Veterinarian" Certificate. She has a special interest in feline medicine and expands her knowledge by attending feline veterinary conferences. She also is a Peer Reviewer of Medical Records for the College of Veterinarians of Ontario, to help other veterinarians meet the standards to help ensure optimal care.
She started her career at Cataraqui & Amherstview Pet Hospitals in 2015, with a couple years hiatus over the pandemic, working in the Quinte area doing veterinary housecalls. She has returned to Cataraqui & Amherstview Pet Hospitals and is looking forward to seeing your fur kids, in the clinic or in the comfort of your home.
Outside the clinic, she is very busy with her husband and three children enjoying the outdoors; volunteering at their schools' parent councils, running a local horse club; and enjoying time with their horses, cats and Boston Terrier.
